There were only four counting games with three exhibition games involving the New York Ranger’s prospects on Saturday evening. In the games that counted there were only two assists total on the night as this night was too quiet to enjoy.
Brody Lamb had one of the assists as his sixth-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers had little trouble with in-state rival Minnesota-Duluth beating them 5-1 in non-conference play. Lamb earned an assist on the Gopher’s third goal, an even-strength goal at 9:12 of the second period which made it a 3-1 game for the Gophers.
For Lamb it was his second assist of the season as he improved to 1-2-3 as he was still the second line left wing. For the night, Lamb was 0-1-1 on one shot with a +1 as his team improved to 3-1.
E.J. Emery was scoreless as his fifth-ranked North Dakota Fighting Hawks lost to Minnesota State 3-0 in non-conference play. Emery was an -1 on one shot as North Dakota fell to 2-1.
Nathan Aspinall had an assist as his Flint Firebirds lost to the Erie Otters 5-3 in OHL action. Aspinall earned a secondary assist on the Firebirds third goal of the game to improve his season totals to 3-4-7 after 9 games.
Rasmus Larsson did not record a single stat as his Northern Michigan Wildcats lost to previously winless Alaska-Anchorage 5-3 in non-conference play.
Exhibition Play
Gabe Perreault had a goal, and an assist as second-ranked Boston College spanked USNTP 8-4 in exhibition play. There was no box score just a list of the scoring plays.
Ty Henricks didn’t record a stat as his Western Michigan Broncos spanked York (Canada) 8-0 in exhibition play.
Zackary Karpa had an assist and was 10-3 on faceoffs as his Harvard Crimson played to a 2-2 exhibition scrimage with third-ranked Boston University.
