About The Prospect Park
Prospect Park offers New York Ranger fans coverage of those chasing the dream of becoming New York Rangers. For over twenty seasons, the Prospect Park has been the place to go to learn about these young men.
Prospect Park provides game coverage of the prospects, it is the place to go to when you are looking for independent evaluations of their potential and whether they will earn that NHL Entry Level Contract.
Prospect Park is also the place for in-season interviews, video highlights, and reports on their play. Prospect Park talks to the prospect’s coaches, to those local reporters who cover them during the season and even their friends and family, so you get to learn about your future Rangers
Meet Jess Rubenstein
Covering New York Ranger prospects since 2004, I have covered every Ranger prospect drafted since then. I am a fully trained hockey scout by former Boston Bruins GM Harry Sinden. I have completed the NHL GM and Scouting Course taught at Sports Management Worldwide which was taught by former Boston Bruin’s General Manager Harry Sinden.
I have also been lucky enough to have been mentored on scouting and player evaluations by the late EJ McGuire who was the director of the NHL’s Central Scouting Bureau and former coach of the AHL’s Hartford Wolfpack.
Gordie Clark, the former director of player personnel, taught me that fans never remember the prospects we were right about, but they never let you forget the ones you got wrong.
